Many of the Scottish islands have had their own 'tamps,'carriage labels used to decorate outgoing mail and signify 'postage' from the local post box to the nearest postal facility in Scotland. Some of these islands never have had much more than such labels, while others such as Pabay have a long and rich philatelic history.
